Death of A. J. Jenkins

At home of His Sister, Mrs. Jacob Hauschild-Funeral Monday

Andrew Jackson Jenkins, who has been suffering with cancer of the face for the past two years, died at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hauschild, Sunday afternoon, about 3 o’clock.

Mr. Jenkins was born in Jackson county, Ohio, February 28, 1846, and was aged 77 years, 7 months and 16 days, at the time of his death. He has three brothers and three sisters, two of whom-Mrs. Hauschild and Zachariah Jenkins-live near Saxman. The deceased was a veteran of the Civil war.  Funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian church in Saxman, at 1:00 o’clock, Monday afternoon, and the body was interred in Cottonwood cemetery, near this city.

When Charlotte Ann Moore was born on April 5, 1850, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, her father, Silas, was 36, and her mother, Pertima, was 24. She married Andrew Jackson Jenkins on October 14, 1869. They had seven children during their marriage. She died on November 21, 1924, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 74, and was buried there.
