Bulletin Obituary for Lawrence G. “Hap” Finnin
Lawrence G. “Hap” Finnin, Haven, died March 6, 1998, at Finley Hospital, Dubuque, Iowa. He was born May 15, 1912, at Raymond and was a former resident of Mt. Hope and Haven. He had at one time owned and operated car dealerships in Haven.
In 1937, he married Virginia Amend at Sterling. She died July 1, 1996.
Survivors include a son, Michael, Peosta, Iowa, a daughter Merry Cooper, Topeka, a brother, Peter Finnin, Lyons, and four grandchildren.
Inurnment services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at Sterling Community Cemetery, with Father James Hoagland presiding. Following inurnment service, the family will receive friends and family at Paddy’s Restaurant, 313 S. Broadway, Sterling. Van Campen Funeral Home, Haven, is in charge of arrangements.
